Krishna

Krishna (Sanskrit for “black”, “dark”) — is a Hindu deity, the eighth Vishnu‘s avatar, who came into the world in a form of the warrior prince and the divine herdsman. His life and deeds are described in such sacred scriptures as the Mahabharata, the Puranas (the Bhagavata Purana, the Vishnu Purana) and the Harivamsha. Krishna’s philosophical precepts from the Bhagavad Gita are considered to be the basis of the Hindu philosophy. In the monotheistic tradition of Vaishnavism Krishna is worshiped as the Supreme God.
