Diwali

Diwali (Sanskrit for “row of lights”) — is one of the most important sacred festivals in India. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil. In different regions of the country the origin of the festival is connected with different legends. But the majority of Hindus worship Lakshmi on Divali, the Goddess of wealth and fertility, Vishnu‘s spouse. Lights, fireworks and lamps are lightening everything during several days. The festival takes place between mid-October and mid-November.
