Vaisheshika (Sanskrit for “prominent”) — is one of the six Hindu orthodox schools of philosophy (astika). It was founded by a sage Kanada (III-II centuries BC). His doctrine was based on the idea that the material world consists of atoms which acquire their consciousness through Brahman.
