Sankhya (Sanskrit for “enumeration”) — is one of the six Hindu orthodox schools of philosophy (astika). According to Sankhya dualist philosophy, founded by a Vedic sage Kapila, the Universe consists of two realities: prakriti (matter) and purusha (consciousness).
