Rama

Rama (Sanskrit for “the dark one”) — is the seventh avatar of Vishnu, a king of Ayodhya, the hero of the epic poem the Ramayana. Rama is depicted as an ideal human, king and husband. Despite all the ills of life, he never betrayed principles of dharma. To preserve his father’s honor Rama abandons his claims to the throne and went into exile. His spouse Sita and his brother Lakshmana did not left him in his misfortune and went with him. After Ravana, the demon, had abducted Sita, Rama began long and selfless searches for his wife. Finally, Rama killed his enemy in a terrible battle, found Sita, returned to his kingdom and to rule happily and justly for 11 000 years.
